In Times of Tide, You Meant More To Me...

It's Monday and unlike any other Monday mornings, yesterday I've received messages which probably consider a great shock, down to my soul. It was from Ching. She was having another pain strike at her stomach but unlike any of the previous, it was a whole lot worse then before. She told me that she was in great pain, till the extent whereby her head was spinning, her lower body was paralyzed & and eventually, collapsed in her own room...

I was on my way to work and after hearing it, I could only feel helpless, praying that nothing serious will happen to her... I was at lost, fearing for the unknown...

Dear Lord, don't let anything bad befall unto her. Watch over her, give her strength and guide her through in times of trials. For this, I humbly pray...

It's Been A Year...

Today marks a very special day for Vicky, Ching & myself. It's been exactly a year since we've got to know each other and looking back, it has been a long, winding and rough road to the point where we are right now. The journey have taught us how to be a better person and to never give up on hopes and dreams when everyone else have yet given up on us. One of the important lessons that we have learned from it is to never let unhappiness get the best of you, life is to short to broad over it. Live life to its fullest and savor every moment of it.

But there's also another thing that have came to cherish since I've started on this journey. A stranger, a colleague whom I've got to know ever since I've started working in SingTel, a friend which we shared each laughters and tears in our lives... and now, has become someone dear to me, someone important, someone that I cherish with all my heart...

A Short Vacation... & Back

Last Wednesday, I've went to the long awaited trip with all my colleagues. It was the company's annual D&D and it was held at Hotel Equatorial, Malacca. Definitely something that I needed the most, rest & relaxation, a short getaway from the stressful and hectic city life.

Though I didn't get to sleep much throughout the whole 3 days event but the sleep time that were sacrificed was well spent. I got to do a little sight seeing on the first day together with Vick & Ching. I even got to pay Vick's family a visit. The weather was perfect for an outing that day.

At night back at the hotel room, Vick, Ching, Susan, Raymond and I had a wild heart attack card session. It was so crazy that we've basically smacked each others hands until it were all swollen. A great way to relief stress and vent your frustrations... hehehe

The start of the second day itself wasn't so pleasant as the management had scheduled strings of workshop sessions for the whole day. It was totally a slobber knocker, listening to the management talking the whole day. But it was all made up with an excellent D&D. The MCs were very good, kept us all entertained. And what's best was at the end of it, I even won myself a brand new handphone from the D&D's lucky draw. A BlackBerry 8707G to be exact. WuuHuu~

The following day, I've went to KL to meet up with one of the company's regional partner, Acasia. Got the visit their office and meet the folks behind the scenes all these while working with them. They were a group of very friendly people and me, together with the rest of the SM team as well as SGO Malaysia, Encik Fuad were all well received by them. I was really humbled by their hospitalities as it was my first visit to them, face to face.

After the friendly business visit, we checked back into our service apartment in Sungai Wang, KL. The name of the service apartment is Somerset Seri Bukit Ceylon and it was a huge, well furnished, well equipped apartment big enough to accommodate all 7 of us. It was rest and relaxation all the way before all of us head back home.

Overall, it was a short, though a little tight on schedule but an enjoyable & memorable little trip that I will remember...

One Year in SingTel

Today marks the official 1st year since I've joined SingTel and I've gave a little lunch treat to Ching, Chin Yong, Susan & Wei Min at Marche, Heeren as a form of a simple celebration for it. Hope you guys enjoyed it.

The journey to get to this point so far has been a roller coaster ride. Lots of ups and downs. The cruel faces of reality have taught me a lot of things in life. The good, the bad and the ugly... It also has widen my view on human nature. There's a saying that goes in a worst case scenario, it will bring out the best of human nature. Well, in some of the cases that I've experienced so far, it has certainly brought out some of the worst of human nature as well.

But I'm grateful that throughout this journey, a lots of friendships have been forged along the way. To those who have been giving me the supports and encouragements, I just want to say a big thank you to all of you. You've been a great help and wonderful friends. A toast to our friendships and hope that there are many more wonderful years to come for us all.

To those who have crossed my path, I also wanna say thank you to you too because of what you have done to me, I've grown to become a little more stronger, a little more wiser...

The future still holds a lot of surprises for me and I'm looking forward to what awaits me up ahead the path of life...
